It’s always a buzz when your photography gets noticed, and even better when it gets used. Last year I had a selection of my Steelhouse Festival images used in Under The Skin magazine and now I’ve been contacted by the Official John Norum (Europe’s Guitarist) site to use some of my images on his Facebook page.
ou really can’t knock riding to work for the national Cycle To Work Day
when the weather is great and you have stunning views like this all around, keeping you entertained!
This one is of the Pontypool Canal Basin and was bathed in glorious sunshine on the way back home from Abergavenny this afternoon.
o, Steelhouse Festival 2014
was a great weekend spent with some really great friends – new and old, and as usual I took the camera and 70-200 f2.8 lens up to get in the mix and get some shots (a press pass would be awesome if any promoters or bands want to supply me with one
) and when it was all said and done and I’d waded throught the 1800+ images I shot over the 2 days I posted a shot of Sebastian Bach
and one of Joey Tempest of Europe
on the Steelhouse Festival Facebook page to get some feedback.
[dropcap2]I[/dropcap2]t’s been a while since I’ve been out and done any kind of exercise… well, when I say a while, it’s been about 6-8 weeks and the weather has been pretty crap to say the least. So, when LJ suggested a walk up a local mountain, I thought “why the hell not?” So, off we headed for a nice walk in the Autumn sunshine up The Sugar Loaf, Abergavenny. Now, I’ve never really been one for walking, hiking, mountain climbing, etc. I love cycling and mountain biking, but I needed to work off the stunning Sunday lunch and dessert that was expertly cooked by my mum!
The Newbridge Memo has been in the process of being renovated for a while, and they hold fairly regular events to raise money in aid of the restoration project. I had the privelage of being invited along recently to shoot a good friends band who were headlining the fund raising event – The Kamikazee Millionaires!
