For anyone that knows me will know that I have a real passion for Jackson Guitars, and over the last couple of years I’ve been building a nice collection of various types. Well, one I’ve been looking for for a while has been a good quality 90-91 Professional Fusion Pro as these guitars were on par with the USA Jacksons of the same period.
Well, recently I lost out on a rather nice flame top one from a man in Slovenia. To say I was gutted was an understatement, but a few weeks ago he got back in touch with me to see if I was still looking for one as he had a black sparkle that he may be interested in selling.
After some discussion we agreed on a deal and it was delivered to be yesterday, and all I can say is WOW! For a guitar that is 24 years old it looks as good as new. Even the back is almost free from buckle rash! I was totally amazed when I opened the case. Fret wear is non existent, the ebony fretboard looks amazing and the trem is a nice quality Shaller, not the cheap lower end Jackson brand.
“A 91 MIJ Jackson Professional Fusion Pro from the Chushin Gakki factory. For anyone who knows their Jacksons, these were the best Jacksons to come out when they moved part of their production over to Japan in the early 90’s and after 91 they had to dumb down the hardware as the guitars were rivalling the USA models at 2/3rds of the price.”
