I spent a little time experimenting with some product photography, using a simple set up of natural lighting from behind and camera right as well as a gold/silver reflector to bounce a little light back into the image.
I used a bottle of aftershave that has some nice contrasting colour to the large natural slate tile that I used for the backdrop.
These images were shot using a Nikon D300 and a 50mm f1.8 Nikon lens. As you can see, the images are lovely and sharp with minimal processing. This is down to the awesome Nikon 50mm lens that is just incredibly sharp. Well worth the £100 price tag!
